Parts of an Orchid
Orchids have 6 main parts.
- Three sepals
- Two petals
- One labellum (meaning tongue)
An additional section of an orchid is the column . Pollen is located at this point . The ovary behind the blossom can swell up after pollination , along with the seed builds upinside it .
Orchids possess a component known as a bract , that is a leaf . In classification of certain orchids , the variety of bracts may help in orchid identity .
